Birding – intro and bird walk – Sunday 8-10 am September 27, 2026
Overview
Let’s get ready for some Fall birdwatching.
Join us to learn the basics of birding and the best practices for using your binoculars and a bird walk to practice your new skills.
Our instructor is Ken Endersen who is a local birder and has seen over 250 species of birds in Warren County. He participates in multiple bird counts, including the Hunterdon and Morris Christmas Bird Counts and the Annual World Series of Birding (Warren County). Ken will share some general tips and tricks on how to use binoculars and how to find birds.
We will meet at the shop, Lost Goods and Gear – 415 Front Street, Belvidere NJ 07823 at 8AM and plan to be out until 10 am
It is $10 for the class – 16 and under are free. Dress for the weather as we will be outdoors.
Keep a lookout for our birding walks in the next few weeks – Fall migratory birding is beginning
What To Bring
Dress to be comfortable outside walking. If you have binoculars bring them or we have some at Lost Goods and Gear.
Your Host
Lost Goods & Gear
Lost Goods & Gear isn’t just a shop; it’s an invitation to linger, a place where conversations flow like the nearby rivers, where customers become friends. We saw the town, like so many others, slowly fading, and felt a stirring to breathe life back into it, to create a space where community could gather.
