Nature & Birding Hike
Overview
Nicolette, an ecologist and passionate naturalist, is excited to lead you on a walk through nature through the corridor of Belvidere’s very own stretch of the Pequest River.
You will learn all about the local flora and fauna that have recently emerged from winter dormancy with spring rains and warmer weather welcoming in new life aplenty.
From native spring ephemerals to migrating neotropical birds, you will be amazed at how much life exists within this remaining naturalized open space within the heart of Belvidere if you just take time to look.
The driveway to the park has limited parking, so parking along Race Street is recommended.
All wildlife images were photographed by Nicolette Albanese.
What To Bring
Come as you are but to ensure you'll have the best experience possible, we recommend bringing binoculars, Bird Guides if you have them, hiking boots, or sneakers, long pants and socks, bug spray, sunscreen, and water.
